The First Meeting of Groom to be

Life spins and every spin brings joys and sorrows, some retain with us throughout our life. One such happy event happened with me in the last year as I found girl of my dreams.

In the year 2017, me and my family were searching for a beautiful, intelligent bride for me and this search lead us onto a land of festivals, India with the list of few girls after checking their bio data. My family members were on their toes for arranging meeting with girl’s family. Finally, the meeting day has arrived. Her family was kind and welcoming. Like all Indians we said “Namaste”, Indian hello, to them and we took our seats. After this our parents formally introduced me with the girl which is typical Indian culture. She was looking like Cinderella of my dreams as it was love at first sight. Then our family gave us time to separately interact with each other, in this time we discussed about our hobbies, future plans, expectations etcetera. Soon we joined our families for lunch and this talk was enough to get butterflies in my stomach. During lunch, my mother took a charge and asked few questions to her, to know about her preferences, likes, dislikes. In between the talked, she (mother) looked at me for getting my response and in hurry and due to adrenaline rush, I nodded my head which was a sign of confirmation. Our families discussed things and this meetings ended. After this, we went on few dates to know each other. As the days passed, our relationship also grew further so we decided to tie a knot. Again we arranged a meeting where all our family members came. Our family asked both of us as we liked each other as confirmation, we both smiled and said yes. After that, we exchanged rings and all family members clapped during ring ceremony and gave us blessings and all our family traditions were performed as we belonged to similar religion. After enjoying our courtship period of about 6 months we tied a knot.  After this, my life has completely changed as I am no longer a bachelor but the man of someone’s dream this is making me happy.

I believe each of the moments has its own significance in human’s life. I will remember 2017 throughout the rest of my life as it had the greatest impacts on me as I got married with the love of my life.
